The word “batik” is a combination of the Javanese words “Amba” which means writing, and “dot”. Batik is a form of traditional Indonesian textile art that has high cultural and historical value. The process of making batik involves dyeing the fabric and using wax (a special wax) as a color retaining agent.
Batik Cap is a type of batik production process that uses a canting cap. The canting cap in question here is similar to a stamp, only the material is made of copper and the dimensions are larger. Apart from the faster processing process, this stamped batik also has a neater and more repetitive motif.
